ALEXIS 
PACHECO

Alexis Anne Pacheco brings over a decade of experience in dance education, professional dancing and choreography.  

Alexis has danced professionally as captain and choreographer for the Detroit Pistons Dance Team, Automotion, where she was chosen with an elite group of pro dancers to perform for the NBA/ESPN tour of Puerto Rico.  She has performed for MoreDances Contemporary Dance Company, Michigan Opera Theatre, Eisenhower Dance Ensemble, MGM Detroit and Caesars Windsor casino. 

Prior to receiving her MA in sports coaching and education from Michigan State University, Alexis was named Universal Dance Association’s “Most Valuable Coach” twice, voted by her peers.  She has choreographed for over 40 different organizations including the NBA and WNBA Detroit dance teams, various college teams and more.  She has received over 20 awards for outstanding choreography, including the “Maggie Allesee Award” in choreographic achievement as well as awards from Universal Dance Association (UDA), Starpower, and National Dance Alliance (NDA).  

Alexis is the former full-time dance educator at Detroit Country Day Schools and former guest lecturer and director of the Oakland University Dance Team.  She was awarded the Outstanding Young Alumni Award as an honors graduate in dance.

Alexis is a personal trainer and a certified Health and Wellness coach.  As the co-owner of Five Crown Fitness, she combines her skills as an educator with her love for fitness.
